Nigel's World Record Attempt & Ironman Triathlon

In 2015 & 2016 I will be attempting 3 endurance events to raise money for the Colonel's Fund, as I served in the Grenadier Guards from the age of 16. These on their own are difficult events, however the week I left the Army I found out I had Type 1 diabetes, so this means I have to constantly monitor my blood sugar levels and inject insulin when I eat to do the job my pancreas no longer does.

The charity has helped many of my friends & colleagues, so it is a charity close to my heart.avalab

I still have friends serving in the Regiment and still hear first hand of the help provided for them, and, of people that have been helped, hence, I am hoping to raise at least Ј1000 so please share my page with anyone or company who you feel may help me reach my target.

Please click here to go to my "Just Giving" page, and get the full story of exactly what I will be doing.

We all remember the JGC at Pirbright don't we? - so some of those who were members of the JGC University of Guards Excellence got together and had a memorial plaque placed in the Household Division section at the National Arboretum in memory of those who were pupils or instructors at JGC, and who are not with us any more.

There will be a re-visit next year 2017
