Also before the Gazettes there was a small booklet produced from 1915 to 1974 called the Annual Reports. I would dearly love to add all from 1915 to 1949 and also the 1954 and 1955 to my collection. I would like to ask members if they have any of the above that they would be prepared to let me have for my collection? if so to please contact me. I will of course payfor them and the postage, or, make a donation to the Colonels Fund !.. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for giving your time to keep us up to date every Sunday. And also, my wife Babs and I would like to wish you, your family and all members a Very Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year. RHQ will be closing down from Friday 16th December 2011 through to Tuesday 3rd January 2012.The online shop will still be taking orders, however the last date when orders will be sent out will be Thursday 15th December 2011, all orders after this date will be send out in the New Year.Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,From all at RHQ Grenadier Guards. From:David Williams Major I was very sad to hear of Jack Thomas , s death.I was a cadet at Mons under him. As I had been a L/Sgt and Drill Instr and still had the marks OC my strips on my BD , so I was a target for most anti Guards Instructors especially the Coy Comd ( a Marine). Jack ensured that their prejudice did not affect my chances , his advice was also a great help as was Ray Huggins earlier.
