I attach the photo and would be most grateful if you could try and track down LSgt Barfoot (the PT Instructor) and LCpl Smith (the Barrack Room Instructor). We are holding the reunion on 8th March 2016 in London (probably the Cav and Gds Club) and would very much like them to join us. If you are able to track them down and put them in touch with me I’d be hugely grateful. They can contact me on rwinstanley@thedrapers.co.uk From M Fearn: as we are all getting older it would be nice to get in contact with the old lads. From the recce platoon 1GG - 1989-1996:"Slip" Jason Ely (came from Lincoln) was in Call sign 22 with Andy Green (now Major),driven by "Jas" Andy Jarrot from Bristol.Any one else that I know. From J Gibson: Dear Jim, I wrote to you last year regarding a book I've written "As I Remember"1st Battalion Grenadier Guards Cameroons 1961. I've had some very nice replies and stirred a few memories I've also raised over £200 for the Grenadiers Colonel's Fund. The book as gone to various parts of the UK France and America. One of the comments was from the son of a Queens Company Guardsmen Dave Davenport who sadly passed away 7 years ago, David jnr said his father often spoke of his time in the Cameroons and having read the book David jnr in his words said ("it was a great book really great lets me have an insight of what it was like out there with dad") I was chuffed to bits when I heard this, it's what I did the book for, for those whose memories had faded or heard the tales from their loved ones. I could not have achieved this without the help of your weekly email, thank you. I've also been asked about a Cameroon reunion, after 54 years, not sure how to go about this and numerous mentions of the failure to award medals to those who were there. It would appreciated if you could include this in one of your weekly emails. Kind Regards John
