Support For Grenadiers In Transition

This is a Facebook site, the brainchild of our Vice-President Lt-Col Dorney and his wife Sue

This group is designed to provide a network of informal support for those Grenadiers about to leave the service and for Grenadier veterans.

Opportunities, jobs and training activities can be posted here.

Those searching for these opportunities can post information here too.

Jobs and training opportunities are posted without prejudice and are not formally recommended by the group administrators.

Excellent Business Start-up Opportunity

for Ex-Service Members offered by X-Force

X-Forces was set up to help members of the Service Community to start up their own businesses.
X-Forces is already working very effectively with the Princess of Wales’ Royal Regiment
through their Tiger Rec scheme
to help soldiers, veterans, and their spouses into business ownership.

X-Forces offers a full package of support to business start-ups from an initial assessment

which allows us and the applicant to understand how well he/she will handle running their own business.

Through mentored design of their business plan, to business plan submission, including application for funding

to business development, client acquisition and future growth advice.

Uniquely, we do not require any previous commercial experience.

We offer a personal assessment and we will do everything possible to find each new business its first client or customer.

We also remain engaged until the business is fully up and running and both parties agree that no further support is needed.

The purpose of the service and this site is to make it easier for you as a veteran, or a relative or close friend of a veteran

to get the best advice and support on your mental health.

We understand that talking about this isn’t always easy but by doing so you will be taking a step in the right direction.

Blind Veterans UK believes that no one who has served their country should battle blindness alone.

It doesn’t matter when a veteran served, or how they lost their sight.

Blind Veterans UK provides free, lifelong support and services to them and their family.

It is estimated that there are over 68,000 ex-Service men and women living with sight loss in the UK

But that are not currently aware of the support available to them.

Blind Veterans UK’s No One Alone campaign is reaching out to them to let them know that support is available.
